Lower basic rent
A landlord may not just determine a room price, there are rules for this. The maximum rental price depends on, among other things, the size of your room and the facilities in the house. The basic rent consists of your total rent - the service costs (think of costs for gas, water, electricity).
When you fill in the calculator, our system will check whether you are paying too much. Is this the case? Then you can contact us. Also when you have an all-in rental price pay or when you did not receive a bill for the service costs can you contact us.
You will immediately receive an email with which you can safely upload your rental contract. Our rental experts will read your contract thoroughly and within two working days you will receive a Whatsapp containing a number of questions and a link for a digital appointment. During the appointment, our employees will explain exactly what will happen and you will have the opportunity to ask all your questions.
When you have signed the service agreement, HuurTeHoog will get to work for you! HuurTeHoog will first contact your landlord and try to work it out with him/her. Does your landlord not agree with our proposal? Then HuurTeHoog will solve it legally. It may be that people from the Rent Assessment Committee have to visit your room once to measure the surface area’s, but we will let you know this well in advance. After a few months you will hear whether you are going to save!
